Setting up your site
When you sign up, Sonic Bloom gives you a real website right away — you don't build it from scratch. Your job is to fill in your info and make it yours. Here's the order that gets you live fastest.
Your dashboard tells you what's next
You don't have to remember any of this list. When you log in, the top of your dashboard shows what we can do for you next and what each job is waiting on — things like "Your EPK, written and laid out" or "Rooms near you, and who books them", each showing the one or two details we still need.
It's not a checklist and there's no score. A missing photo isn't a mark against you — it's just the reason we can't put your EPK together yet. Tap any of the small labels to go straight to where you fill it in, or hit Start there with Roadie and talk it through instead.
As each job gets what it needs it switches to Working. When they're all working, that whole block disappears and your dashboard goes back to what actually matters — your fans, your earnings, your shows.
1. Your subdomain is already yours
The moment you create your account, you get a free web address: yourband.sonicbloom.app. We generate it from your artist name. If the name's taken, we add a number (yourband-2.sonicbloom.app).
You can adjust your subdomain during onboarding. After that it locks in, so links you've shared keep working. When you're ready for your own .com, see Connecting a custom domain.
2. Pick a theme
A theme is the whole look of your site — fonts, colors, layout. Head to Site Design in your dashboard and pick the one that fits your sound. You can switch themes anytime without losing any of your content. See Choosing your theme.
3. Add your info
In Profile, fill in the canonical basics — the identity your whole site reads from:
- Artist name, genre, home base. The essentials that show up everywhere.
- A short bio. Stuck? We can draft a starter one from a few details — edit it to taste. (Your longer bio and press bio live in your page sections.)
- Social links and booking contact.
- A band photo. The big image at the top of your site. We give you a placeholder at signup so nothing looks broken on day one — swap it for a real shot of the band as soon as you have one. Landscape works best.
- Your logo. This is your wordmark — set it as styled text or upload an image, and it shows in your site header across every theme.
Everything that's content rather than identity — photos, videos, custom links — lives in your page sections. Open a page in the builder (Pages → Sections ⤢) and edit the section right where it appears; the Photos, Videos, and Links editors are one tap away. Your theme, colours, and fonts live in Site Design.
4. Add your music
Go to Releases and add a single or an album. Upload your tracks, add the artwork, and choose whether it's free, a fixed price, or pay-what-you-want. Full details in Selling digital music.
5. Connect Stripe (so you can get paid)
If you want a tip jar, music sales, merch, or a fan club, connect Stripe from the Payments area. It takes about 5–10 minutes and Stripe pays you directly. Walkthrough: Connecting Stripe to get paid.
You can skip this for now — the site, EPK, show listings, and music player all work without it. You just won't be able to take money yet.
6. Verify your email and go Live
New sites start as Coming Soon (a holding page) so you can set everything up in private — free, for your whole trial. When you're ready, confirm your email and flip your site to Live on the Visibility page. See Live vs Coming Soon.
Heads up: you'll need to verify your email before your site can go Live. Check your inbox for the confirmation link, or use the Resend button on your dashboard.
Going Live starts your subscription. Building is free during the trial; publishing to the public is the moment you start paying — $20/month or $200/year, charged when you go live. See Billing and your subscription.
That's a live site
Theme, info, music, Stripe, Live. Everything else — shows, merch, fan club, campaigns, EPK — you can add whenever you like.
