Who We Are
Sonic Bloom is a SaaS platform that hosts artist websites, mailing lists, tip jars, and SMS campaigns. Artists sign up to use the platform; fans interact with the artist's site. The artist is the owner of their content and the sender of record for any messages sent to their fans — Sonic Bloom is the platform that delivers them.
Information We Collect
From artists:
- Name, email address, and password (hashed — we never store it in plain text).
- Payment method, managed through Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer ID; full card details never touch our servers.
- Content you upload: tracks, photos, bios, show data, and any other material you add to your site.
From fans who sign up to an artist's list:
- Email address (required).
- Name (optional).
- Phone number (optional, only when the fan explicitly opts in to SMS updates from that artist).
- IP address — recorded when a fan submits a signup form, used for spam prevention and to enforce per-artist signup blocklists. Not used for tracking across sites.
Usage data:
- Aggregate signup and engagement counts are shown to each artist for their own list (e.g. total subscribers, recent signups). Platform-wide analytics tracking is not currently in use; if introduced in a future release, this policy will be updated before it ships.
How We Use Information
- To operate the platform: host artist sites, deliver email and SMS campaigns the artist initiates, process tips and subscription payments.
- To communicate with artists: account notifications, billing receipts, product updates.
- We do not sell fan information to third parties. Fan data belongs to the artist whose list they joined.
SMS Messaging Program
When you opt in to an artist's SMS list on Sonic Bloom, you give that artist permission to send you text messages.
- Purpose: Phone numbers are collected for the purpose of sending SMS updates from the artist whose mailing list you joined.
- Message types: Announcements about new music, upcoming shows, merchandise, fan-club updates, and signup confirmations.
- Frequency: Message frequency varies by artist. A typical sender sends between 2 and 8 messages per month.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to opt out of SMS from that artist. Reply HELP for help.
- You can also opt out by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email from the artist, which will remove you from their mailing list.

Sharing
We share information only with subprocessors that help us run the platform:
- Stripe — payment information (subscription billing, tip jar, merch checkout).
- Postmark — fan email addresses and message content (transactional and campaign email delivery).
- Twilio — fan phone numbers and SMS content (opt-in SMS delivery for fans who subscribed).
- AWS / DigitalOcean — uploaded files, audio, images (hosting and storage).
- Anthropic — artist-supplied bio prompt text (AI bio generation when an artist uses that feature).
- Printful — fan shipping address and order details (print-on-demand merchandise fulfillment, only when an artist uses POD merch).
- Approximated — custom-domain DNS metadata and request traffic (SSL termination and routing for artist custom domains).
We do not sell information.
Data Retention
We keep account information for as long as the account is active. Fans can request deletion at any time by contacting the artist or us.
Your Choices
Artists can update or delete their account information by logging in to the dashboard. Fans can unsubscribe from any list at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message.
Children
Sonic Bloom is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to artists via email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
