Your Website
Live vs Coming Soon
Live vs Coming Soon
Your site has two states, and you control which one it's in from the Visibility page in your dashboard.
Live
Anyone can view your site. This is the normal, public state — your music, store, shows, and link-in-bio page are all out in the world.
You need to verify your email before your site can go Live. Check your inbox for the confirmation link, or use the Resend button on your dashboard.
Coming Soon
Instead of your real site, visitors see a holding page — a "something's coming" placeholder. New accounts start here so you can build everything in private before you launch.
You can customize the Coming Soon page:
- Headline — defaults to your artist name.
- Message — a short line like "Something's coming. Stay tuned."
- Email signup form — on by default. Coming Soon is exactly when you're handing your link around, so visitors can leave an address and you've got a list waiting the day you go live. They confirm by email first, the same as every other signup, so what you end up with is a real list. Turn it off on the Go live screen if you'd rather the page just sat there.
The bypass password
Coming Soon has one more trick: a bypass password. Anyone who has it can preview your Coming Soon site early — perfect for showing bandmates, a manager, or a friend before the public launch.
- Set it on the Go live screen (it's called Visibility once you're live). To change it, just type a new value and save.
- Share the password with the people you want to let in.
- Your own preview always works — you never need the password to see your own site while logged in.
Going Live
When you're ready, open Visibility, switch from Coming Soon to Live, and save. That's the launch.
Going Live is when your subscription starts. Everything up to this point is free during your trial — building the site, adding music, connecting Stripe, even setting up a custom domain. The moment you publish to the public, we'll take you to checkout to start your $20/month (or $200/year) subscription. The first charge is immediate, and as soon as it clears your site goes Live automatically. See Billing and your subscription.
Once you're subscribed you can flip between Live and Coming Soon anytime — for example, to take the site down for a refresh.
Note: "Live" means fully public. There's no half-public state — a site is either Live for everyone, or Coming Soon behind the holding page (with the bypass password for the people you choose).
