Email campaigns

Once you've got a mailing list, you can email it directly — tour announcements, new release drops, "tickets on sale," a year-end thank-you. No separate Mailchimp account, no extra $30 a month. It's built in.

Writing a campaign

Head to Campaigns in the Fans area and create a new one. You get a rich-text editor — write your message, format it, add links. Keep it personal; the emails that land hardest are the ones that sound like you, not a marketing department.

Choosing who gets it

Pick your audience:

  • All fans — your whole confirmed list
  • Members only — just your active fan club members, for the stuff that's exclusive to them

Sending

When you send, the campaign goes out to your list through our email delivery (powered by Postmark, so it lands in inboxes, not spam folders). Large lists send in the background — you don't have to sit and watch it.

Sending limits

To keep delivery healthy and protect your reputation, there's a generous monthly ceiling on email sends — up to 10,000 per month. For the vast majority of artists that's far more than you'll need. If you're running a list big enough to bump against it, get in touch and we'll sort it out.

What makes a campaign work

  • Have a reason. A new single, a tour, an exclusive — give fans something, don't just check in.
  • One clear call to action. Buy the record, grab tickets, watch the video. Pick one.
  • Subject line matters most. It decides whether the email gets opened at all. Be specific: "New single out now + we're coming to Chicago" beats "Newsletter #4."
  • Don't over-send. A handful of well-timed emails a year beats a weekly grind that gets you unsubscribed.
